Question 1997 E320 Glove Box Latch Broken

Please Help -- my glovebox inside latch broke yesterday and I can't close it. I removed the entire glovebox (and had fun doing it!), but still can't get to the problem because the skin on the glovebox door needs to be removed to get to the inside latch. HOW DO I REMOVE THE SKIN ON THE GLOVEBOX DOOR, OR AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? Thx for any help out there!

Hi DIYMAN, I have the same problem...need to remove the glove box cover to get to the inside latch. Do you just pry off the soft cover from the hard plastic housing? I'm afraid I may break something. How does the butter knife work?
