Pressing In Lower A-Arm Bushings?
I purchased the front lower A-arm bushing kits from the dealer for my 97 E420. Can I press these ‘out’ and ‘in’ with my large bench vise? Or do I need an (size?) arbor press.

i've never done it but have read that you can press them out as you describe. your bigger concern should be getting tne new ones in. my understanding is its a bear. i think most diy'ers who've done it will tell you you need to heat the new ones a bit before they'll pop in.

We use a special hand-held press to get bushings in and out without even taking the control arm all the way off the car.
