hi guys! what could be wrong with my 3rd brake light? just last saturday nght i got a LAMP defective warning on dash then i checked all lamps then found out that the 3rd brake lamp aint working . but when i shut off engine and started it again the warning went off but still the lamp is not working. ive checked the bulb changed it with a new one checked all fuses everything is ok.
what could bee the problem? and also does it have a seperate fuse for the 3rd brake light? thanks

is this the style that is inside the car at the rear window?if so, there is a contact plate that gets burnt-kind of a pain to check though-remove the back cover of the brake light-then the assbly slides back toward you to come off-the peice that connects to is the peice that gets burnt-check both peices-the one you took off and the other one for burn marks on contacts-if burnt both peices should be replaced-the second peice is the pain though(rear hatshlef has to come out to replace)
