IN GENERAL - AFTERMARKET PARTS DO NOT INCREASE THE VALUE OF THE CAR!

Warning - Recommend you keep them. At trade-in dealers do not want aftermarket rims. They will insist on the OEM Mercedes wheels and if you don't have them they will dedect the cost of the wheels/tires from the trade value or not take the car.

I sold my OEM wheels and had to re-buy a set of OEM wheels and tires (used) for my 98 E430 for full trade-in consideration. Good Luck!

What if you bough the car with Brabus rims from the MB Dealer? I see alot of dealers have aftermarket wheels in their showroom cars...

What will they consider than ?

The aspect that the dealer does not want the aftermarket parts is not written in stone but a general trade-in rule. During trade-in the dealers job is to buy the car for as little as possible while marking the trade amount down for every little thing possible.

Aftermarket rims on the car even if very expenvise Brabus rims may be discontinued, out of stock or be a undetermined brand and model and wrong offset. The wheels could be chromed and the chrome peeling. It is easy to refinish silver painted rims.

OEM wheels are always available and their fitments, quality are not suspect. The dealer can not warranty an aftermarket rim to the new buyer but can replace the OEM easily and cheap.

The dealers would not take my car without them - they insisted on the OEM rims and limited the value due to custom rims.
