Beginner Questions....
Hi all,
I am an active poster on Audiworld and I am looking for some help with my fathers 1999 E430. He wants indash CD with cellphone integration. He does not have the premium radio. Is it easy to do in the mercedes? Does it require a lot of custom installation rewireing or can you use an adapter to plug into the factor harness? I am asking these quesitons because a few years ago when I did a system in my Ford explorer eddie bauer, i had to spend a couple hundred to bypass the stock amplifier. Are there any particular brands that members have had success with matching the color and style of the interior? Any good ideas for cellphone integration (he has a Motorola V60). Also, a lot of places seem to be cutting deals on sattelite radio. Does anyone have any clever (read as cheap, hidden and efficient places) ideas where to hide the reciever box and antenna for this?
Thanks again,
Matt

Does your dad have the CD changer in the trunk? If not, that may be cheaper route. 1999 models and up use "Fiber Optic" wiring so upgrades to other than Mercedes stuff is more difficult.
You can not integrate a 'non' Mercedes V60 phone nor can you integrate a Mercedes V60 phone to models prior to 2001 I believe.
