Check out the new Pioneer products -- http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w210...-2010-ces.html
I'd also recommend looking Crutchfield's website -- and talking w/ one of their customer service guys.

I think this is the way to go nowadays.
You can also change the color to Red to match the interiior of the car.

Many current-generation head units do allow changing illumination color. I think the new Pioneers allow something pretty close to what we have oem.
If you are planning to install yourself, I definitely recommend close attention to info in the Stickeys here and working w/ Crutchfield. You may want to re-install the factory unit if/when you turn the car over, so a careful installation is to be valued.

Nakamichi went bankrupt a few years ago. Someone owns the name and makes some stuff... Both the above models are still available, but very much older generation gear. I would stay away, personally -- although, yes, they match the "look" pretty well.
