Yes really easy.

Just go to the dealer buy a pair of removal keys and the bulb.

Take the keys insert them and pull back. the unit will come out and the bulb should be obvious where its located. Should take less than 10 min.

The radio keys work for the radio also.

there not expensive at the dealer.

Do the keys work for the instrument cluster too? My bulb is out on the clock/gear display and I'd like to change it. I don't see any holes for the keys to be put in though...

I was also wondering, is there only one lamp for the illumination of the climate control unit as well as all the surrounding buttons? If not then I may have a different problem, because none of the buttons to the climate control are illuminated either. Thanks for your input.

No. The instrument cluster requires a set of hooks (special tool). Also not too expensive from dealer and available elsewhere. Clusters can be hard to get out if they've been in place for a while. Best technique is to 'wiggle' it pulling a little on one side then the other. You can also help it along (or maybe even remove it) by removing the fabric panel below the steering wheel and pushing on the cluster from the backside.

Good luck.

If you buy a head unit at Crutchfield, the accessory kit (wiring harness, etc.) also comes w/ radio removal keys.

I think there's one bulb for the CC illumination; pull the unit out and turn it over.
