Torque Spec for Front Caliper Bolts - E320 2002
I'm doing the front pads on a 2002 E320. Can someone please tell me the torque spec for the caliper bolts? (I tried searching but could only find lug nut torques.)
Thanks
Thanks

The correct torque for the guide bolts (T45 bit) is 25 Nm according to MB AR42.10-P-1600BM. Not much difference and probably not important.
Raymond's illustration is for non-floating front calipers. I think you'll find you have floating calipers. For floating calipers you need only retract the guide pins (head under a plastic cap) in order to remove the center floating part of the caliper. Then you can slip the pads out. If you are doing the discs you need to remove the outer part of the caliper as well.
I trust you've reviewed Gregs210 excellent DIY Brake Job sticky at the top of the forum.

Thanks for the additonal torque info. I am only doing the pads so the torque for the guide pins is important. Yes, I read the post and it is real helpful. I did the rears the other day in less than an hour.
