AMS Headers Installed!!!!!

I just want to give it up to AMS for hooking me up with headers for my 2002 E320 4matic wagon!!!!

They are very good in checking in with me to see how the headers preform, and I must say this is the best purchase I have ever gotten for my vehicle. You can totally feel the power of the vehicle, and its like melting into the drivers seat.

I would recommend AMS to anyone that wants to do any engine upgrades.

They are really great to work with.

How about some pics and prices for what you have done. Any dyno results available? We are interested.

These are the headers I got for $499.00, installed in 3 hours for a total of $700.00.

I don't have any numbers on a dyno, but you can sure feel the difference.

Hello mrfjaf,

Thank you for the positive review, glad to hear the AMS headers provided a good boost of performance to your car.

AMS is liquidating its W210 E320 V6 header line and dropping it all together to concentrate on new V8 projects. They are being sold below manf cost simply b/c we need more room to concentrate on our new upcoming product lines. Consider it a great opportunity to get the headers for a super low price. Once these headers are gone, no more will be produced for the E320 headers (and these are the only ones available on the market period). Grab them while supplies last (first come first serve basis, no holding or etc).

The Stage 2 performance package (headers & pulley) is also available to W210 E320 owners as a part of this promotion for under $1000.

Do you also have the long headers for W210 430?
Or only those short ones like the picture above show?

What type of gains are made with the E320 headers and how much under a grand are you talking?

AMS specializes in bolt-on short tube headers that do not delete the OEM emissions equipment (primary cats). They also require no welding of any kind and are very simple/easy to install. The AMS Stage 2 performance package is also available for the W210 E430s as well. Feel free to view the website for more details.

Thx,
~AMS~

Hello,

The stage 2 performance package for the W210 E320 is $999 including free shipping worldwide. Performance gains depend on level of modifications so it depends on the individual car. The headers & pulley are the two best ways to add power on the V6s. High flow cats & software are also an option but is some debate amongst the V6 NA community whether they are really that beneficial at all. Start with the headers & pulley and mod from there. Hope that helps.

Thx,
~AMS

Yes, on the AMG V8s its roughly 22-25HP, on the NA V6s its roughly about 12HP gain. With the stage 2 package you can get up to 20+ in certain parts of the power band. The big difference though is in the torque numbers. The headers increase the torque at much lower rpms where its needed more on the lower powered V6s. In combination with the pulley it will give the car a must stronger low-end to mid range where the V6s are lacking. Think if it as giving the car more of a V8 feel.

Thx

mrfjaf had mentioned $700.00 installed for the kit. Why $999 w/o install if below Manuf. cost? What is the real price of the header alone w/o install? I assume this includes gaskets and mounting hardware>.. do you have a dyno chart with figures for the V6? I am guessing you have sold a bunch of these so some test must have been done to justify producing them and for us to buy them.

Hello,

I think you may be confused. The headers are $499, The stage 2 package (with pulley) is $999 for the W210 E320. Yes, OEM gaskets are included of course, and all stock hardware is retained. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us via PM/Email.

Thanks,

Hello malahhaor,

The V8 prices have just been reduced and now included free worldwide shipping. AMS no longer offers specials on its V8 line due to the high level of demand.

Thanks,
AMS

With high flow cats they make the same power for alot less money & headache, so its really the best of both worlds.

What are the exact pulleys that are included in this Stage 2 package? Is it similar to the Underdrive Pulley offered by Evosport?

Speaking of cats, How much difference (emittions) is there w/o the secondary cats? Do they really make a big difference? how much more would i throw in the air if i cut them?

Hello blue230K,

The power pulley included in the Stage 2 performance package is a crank pulley, not accessory pulleys like the evosport kit (totally different). Accessory pulley systems really only make power at high rpms but do not do much for low end to mid range, whereas, crank pulleys are the opposite, most of the power gains are via strong torque gains in the low end to mid-range of the power band. By doing both you improve the entire power band from idle to redline.

The good news is our power pulley is 100% compatible with the Evosport accessory pulley kit so you can do both (in fact many of our customers do both to maximize the power gains out of their entire serpentine system).

Hope that helps,
~AMS~

That is a very good question that very few people ever ask. Yes they do help clean up the exhaust system and filter out any unwanted emissions that the primaries may have missed. It is recommended to keep all emissions equipment in place and simply upgrade the components to high flow versions (this applies to both primaries & secondaries). By doing so, you ensure that the emissions are not effected too drastically, yet also improve sound & power. AMS always recommends to upgrade emissions equipments versus completely deleting them, you get most of the benefits with none of the drawbacks (legality & otherwise).

Hope that helps,
~AMS~

From what i've read it's more beneficial to get high flow secondaries? Do primary stock cats provide enough flow if shorties are installed?

Yes the primaries still flow well enough, you will still get excellent gains from shorties on stock primary cats. The best option is to do both high flow primaries & secondaries, but if not then 2nd cats alone will do just fine with the Performance Shorty Headers.

Thx,

Only a few sets of the E320 headers left in stock before they are completely sold out.... this is the last chance to get the remaining sets before they are gone for good. PM for more information regarding liquidation price.
