Unhappy Head gasket blown...

Although not confirmed, my 1999 E320 Wagon appears to have blown a head gasket. Wondered if anyone had paid for this repair and could give me an idea of what it might cost. May be time to move on from this car that I really love 'cause it has 150K miles.

you shoud replace both gaskets, have the cyl heads sent out & rebuiled ,with150k you will start second guessing on changing the timming chain,w/ pump /themostat,rockers ect once the top of the eng is open cost $ 3,500-4,000 you might look for a low miles eng. good luck

Used low-miles engine makes more sense to me.

13 hours per side, 18 if doing both.

Where did you take the car for the diagnosis? Philiips on Two Notch or Brown's Motors closer to Sandhills?
