eBay HID kit is awsome..!
Everyone were talking about it, all my friends. And I decided to try on my wagon. The kit only cost me $44 with 12k bulbs and I just put them on yestorday... oh yah they are nice and brite. They even brighter than my Porsche OEM ones.
For $44 they are awsome. Here is some cellphone pics:

Hmmm...I don't think this is a good idea. Very blinding, not to mention 'cheesy' looking on a Mercedes. I think a couple other people on here have something simliar to say.
If you want premium output, look at my thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...emon-eyes.html

Thats why you lower the heads lights a little if you want. But I dont care... Like I sad for $44 its realy good upgrade.
When buying a kit you can coose which ones you want they have from 3k up to 30k but I like 12k color.

why are you getting 55watt kit, do you rally your car at night out in the country roads? 35watt kit is very bright, 55watt will be a lot brighter and the cops will pull you over. and to make things worse you have hid's in fog lights? are you trying to light up a football field at night? why not put hid's for high beams also this way you can cause permanent vision damage to everyone in front of you.
sorry fellas, not trying to be a jackass, but i can't stand it when i see those civics blinding me at night.

i put hids on my fogs simply for looks, and it looks great. its not like i really need to use them in sand diego. the output on the 55w isnt as crazy as u might think. ive seen plenty of 35w hids systems that seem to have the same light output. btw i have e55 bi-xenons so i dont need to put hids on my high beams. here my setup... anyone selling bi-xenon projectors 4 w210

i'm not "hating" on you homey, it's your car and you can do whatever you want, just try to be considerate to the rest of the drivers on the road, it's the least a civilized human being can do.

This is TOTALLY wrong dude.
the reason why retrofitted xenons in halogen housings causes so much glare is because the reflector and lens are made for a bulb with different dimensions and emitting angles than the xenon burner.
Because of this light will go in all directions and you can lower them as much as you want.
I hope someone will come and smash your headlights in..
It is also illegal..

If you want purple/blue, you change to a PROJECTOR lense and that color flicker is a result of the lense refracting light into its components. *sigh* But to each is his/her own.

There has been a bit more focus on it the last years, but I still see a lot of cars driving around with this crap. one thing is to meet someone on a highway, but where I live the road is at best 6,5meters wide and a LOT of turns and curves. at best we have 500meter long straights before the next turn. and on roads like this it is EXTREMELY painful for the eyes to meet.

This is quite a scientific field, and you will notice that NO manufacturers have HID in halogen reflector. Most HID implementations have: lense washers and self leveling mechanisms that include sensors on different parts of the vehicle. Even though you may see more light as a bodged HID driver, you are blinding oncoming drivers and that is plain selfish driving.
Going at least half way to a proper setup with the DEPO/E55 projector housings would make a big difference to oncoming drivers.

If you can't afford it, drop it.
Because of the light emitting angle of a xenon burner the light will be reflected not only onto the road, but also straight into the windshield of oncoming drivers when installed in halogen housings. color temperature has nothing to do with it.
I have been blinded in daylight in the middle of the summer from a car coming towards me in a decline. His headlights are properly aimed, but the refraction lens sends a lot of light in the wrong direction. I have also met the same car when dark and it is literally a total nightmare. Good thing I have bi-xenons to flash him with![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
There are also a few 210s around here with halogen housings with hid and it looks awful and blind me every time I meet them.
One thing you can consider is the cost if you are in an accident. Then this will be expensive, as you will probably get the blame and have to pay for the damages. And what if you kill someone or make them a vegetable. You will never be able to afford anything ever again.
