w210 wagon 3rd brake light
Does anyone know how to access light bulb for 3rd brake light? It seems reartailgate panel removal necessary. This does not seem as smart as most MB engineering, am I missing something? Are clips for tailgate reusable?

Hello and Welcome -
Some people try to access the bulbs by bending the top of the panel open. This usually results in a panel with a gap at that point. But, yes, the correct approach is to remove the panel. Most of the fasteners around the periphery are two part and reusable. Pull out the round center portion to release the rest of the fastener. Of course there are other fasteners including the pull strap. There may be a detailed procedure over on benzworld_dot_org.
