MB Phone options for a 2000 E-430
I just bought an E-430 that didn't have the phone option.
I like to add a new phone that will utilize the steering wheel control and handsfree options.
What are my best and least expensive options?
I have an old Startac that that I'd love to be able to just plug in, but that doesn't seem to be possible.

I am in the same position. I checked into this at the dealer and was told (perhaps incorrectly?) that they could install a Motorola V60 and all the necessary supporting parts for hands free, voice recog, etc for "$2600 give or take a hundred". I made sure that they knew my car was a 2000 and did not come with the factory phone option and they said no problem. Well, I made an appt, a couple of days later I had second thoughts about the outrageous price and canceled. That being said there are numerous threads around here dealing with the phone issue and various ways of doing it yourself, check the audio forum, do a search on phone...
