'02 E320 won't start.
I just went outside to move my car so my dad could get to his and my car wouldn't start. I stick the key in, close the door and turn it so it cranks and it kept cranking for like 5 seconds before I shut it off. I repeat about 3 times and still won't start. I get out and lock the car and unlock it and get back in and try again and this time it turns on. Check engine light is on.
It all runs fine I just reversed out and turned around and stuff and pulled back into my driveway. I shut it off and it turned back on with no problem. Did that about twice and it was fine. No trouble but the CEL is still on. What's the deal? |
If it has a crankshaft position sensor, I'd replace it.

You were right. I suspected it and I hooked it up to a scanner and came out with "P0339 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent".
I can't find the part on autohausaz. |

I can't find the part on autohausaz. I removed mine with a 1/4 inch socket on a long extension. The proper way would be to use a T-8 SOCKET which I didn't know existed until I had the CPS bolt in my hand. Duh...:smash: I've got a lot to learn. Doing the job on a COLD engine is much easier too. /S |
Whats the difference between the sender and the sensor? I'm confused because there's like 4 different things.

Some of their drop down menus with parts listed will actually be 2 or 3 different parts but they will list each part with 4 or more different names therefore their "list" appears to be very extensive while it really isn't. /S |
