Rear Swaybar and its links missing?!?!?!
My car is kinda 'shaking its ***' when going over a speedbump or ridge on the road. It also feel soft on the right rear end. So I decided to check out the rear shocks, springs and swaybarlinks today after reading up in these forums. I stopped by the dealer to get new swaybarlinks and bolts.
Much to my suprise upon removing the wheels and checking things out, there are no swaybarlinks and there is no swaybar! Neither are there the rubbers that hold the swaybar into place underneith the car. I can see the depressions where the bolts have been so why did a previous owner (apparantly) remove it all?!
I switched the rear shocks and now the car feels soft on the left so I know I need new shocks, but the '*** shaking' problem can only be solved by mounting a new swaybar, right?!

Ok found a guy selling a complete rear axle:

He was willing to sell me the swaybar seperatly, you see it here prior to installing it under my car:

It was a b!tch getting it installed, had to drop the subframe on one side to get it in place. A friend assisted me on the other side preventing damage to the paintwork around the fender while twisting and turning the swaybar into place. I'm posting this while having dinner. Next is mounting the new swaybarlinks and taking it for a testdrive. I'll post the results later...

Everything installed:

The ride is more firm now, cornering and handling is clearly better. I'm now waiting for the new shocks to arrive, the dealer had to order those...

New OEM shocks! (Sachs)
Notice how you cannot unpack them without breaking the silver MB seals:

Mission accomplished. All sounds and rattles in the rear suspension are now gone! Handling is vastly improved. Apparantly the springs are still ok.
