Noisy Tyres
Hi everyone,
Recently I noticed an increase of an already existing intermitting noise when I drive in the city under 60 mph and it grows noisier every time I apply the brakes, could it be the front wheels bearings lack of greasing or worn out ones? or the low profile and wide tyres?
Plz bear in mind that this noise wasn't there when the car was riding on it's own OEM tyres and wheels, I replaced to 235/40 18
front and rear.

Dunlop SP's tend to be a little loud when moving slower and when breaking and putting pressure on the front end. I too experienced this on my old SP 8000's. If your tires are new and the vibration is unbearable, have them checked out at the place where you purchased them. If they were used when you got them, they might have uneven tread wear which is not very visible to the eye but is noticeable with the touch. Rub your hand across the top of your tire along the tread and see if it feels somewhat smooth and even. If you feel your fingures getting snagged or running into pieces of the tread that are slightly sticking out, time to replace your tires. Good luck...
