I drive a 2000 E320 with 145,000 miles. The numbers on the part are 21656001

When I got home yesterday, this plastic part was hanging from the rear of my car on the drivers side.

Can someone tell me what it is??

 

Don't quote me on this but it might be a component of the factory phone system that snaps on the inside the rear bumper
