Question TPS Sensor

I'm looking on purchasing a TPS sensor for my 2001 Mercedes E320. And I came across several ones, with different brand names, as well, as prices between $100-$500. I dont wana get ripped off, and don't want to buy a cheap (eBay) quality. Autozone or Advanced AutoParts, can I buy from them? Or somebody can give me a link to a trusted by Mercedes item,

Autohausaz.com, Parts.com, or even Amazon has them. I think I got mine off Amazon. It's OEM, they just dremel off the Benz star logo and sell it directly from the manufacturer instead of through Mercedes. I guess it was cheaper than making a second set of castings for the plastic mold, one for OEM and one for their direct brand.

I have tried to resist, but shouldn't any post with a heading that contains TPS have a cover letter attached?

Does 2001 model year for E320 have Tires Pressure Monitor ?. I do not see it on the E class until 2007 model year ?. I may be wrong, but I am very familar with W210 E class (I drove 2000E320), never see TPM (even as an option). Why don't you invest $10.00 on a gage tire pressure or $15.00 on a digital gage ?. Do not waste your time to find out what type of TPM to it your car, because 2001 E class NEVER have the TPM, even as an option.

I recommend not using parts geek, for exactly that reason. Check one of the other vendors. But I think that the ones they have listed will work.

That listing is actually for a tire pressure monitor (TPMS). This guy needs a throttle position sensor (TPS).

If you go to Autohausaz.com and search for W0133-1786802 you'll find it from Hella. Free shipping.

It looks like the Hella listed on parts geek will work, too.

Haha. No worries.

The crayons are inert. Keep away from the glue, though.

Are you sure that part number will work with 2001 E320. I searched for the part number, it came with that TPS. But when I searched by model, they dont have any TPS in the listing for that car.

It worked in my 2001 E55. Should be the same part across all 2000-2002 (drive by wire) E class.

If you go to Amazon and find the equivalent Vemo: http://www.amazon.com/Vemo-W0133-178.../dp/B001G5XZV4

And click on "See All Vehicles this product fits" it lists the 2001 E320. The Vemo and Hella should be identical fitment. If you want, open your hood and check near the driver side firewall. You'll see the throttle cable going to a little electronic box with a wheel. Check that against the picture of the Hella, but it should match.

When I had my first car, Ford Focus, the TPS that car had, was the same exact as the one in HELLA picture. So I dont think looking at the picture, says its the correct part.

The Vemo picture on Amazon is correct, I'm pretty sure. That's what mine looked like.

If you are unsure, get it from the dealer or parts.com. Both will check your VIN and validate it 100% as the right part.
