4k rev limit in drive
My 1998 has a engine speed problem. When driving, rev limiter keeps the rpm from going past 4k. This is supposed to happen only in P or N. Dealer said MAF voltage is out of range and needs replacement. Replaced it, no change. no fault codes either. The ECU was replaced. I bought a used one and had it unlocked and reprogrammed for this car. Anyone experience this before? I am thinking there may be something with the gear indicator. Maybe the ECU thinks the car is in P still. Any thoughts?
