Need part numbers / Suggestions!

Hey everyone I looked around but, I couldn't find the part numbers for the following items: Headlights and Antenna.

But if anyone has a VERY good idea on how to clean the headlights, then that would be great. I have tried numerous times to clean my headlights but, i can't get it back to before.

I need the headlights part number or if anyone has some suggestions for good looking after market that would be fine also!

Antenna cap(Not sure what's it called). Not sure what happened -.- it was not there after work today haha.

I used a kit from Micro-Surface for acrylic headlights. They still look good after 2 years.

See here: http://micro-surface.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=119

Yea i tried that also but, I think that the inside is dirty. Because when I touch the outside of the headlights it is completely smooth. I'm not sure if I want to risk anything by taking off the headlights to clean the inside.

hey Jluu.....how long did you use the micro-surface for??? ....depending on condition, mine were original, it takes about a good hour each side!....if it looks dirty, then you need to do it longer and in the correct order of grit.....you have to keep it wet all the time while sanding! ...here are mine after micro-surface.... not the best pix, but lights are not yellowed/hazy anymore...and much brighter at night...

....remember...you're media sanding and will have to do it micro layers at a time (evenly all around) and then polish/buff properly to remove the hazy/cloudy....it takes patience and time!

....you're looking at ~$275 for each headlight set and i think you will need to remove bumper cover to access the lower headlight bolts... good luck!

if you have halogen reflectors, these can be had on Ebay for about $100+/pr.
this would just be for the outer, lexan lens.

MB prices from couple of yrs ago, but at least you'll get a good idea of the
price and mark up.

did you check the parts diagram sites?

Hey Kbad,

I tried for a good 2 hours and I got the headlights to feel just like baby skin it was as smooth as possible... It's night time right now and my garage lights are not bright enough to see the oxidation. I will take a picture after work tomorrow and you can determine what i need to do.

Oh forgot to say...this might sound a little funny but, it has not been cleaned for 9 years...Previous owner did not care too much about the exterior.

....you need to sand it with the coarse grit for the longest to get most of the layers off, otherwise the rest of your effort will be futile!....you'll need to specially concentrate where it gets sun the most (yellowest) ....you won't hurt it as long as you do it with even, firm pressure and in alternate horizontal/vertical sets (up/down the whole surface ....then...left/right the whole surface)....use lots of water while sanding - cover anything around that you don't want covered in white specs!...even engine bay!

Here's how mine looked after about 1 year. I lost the Before picture but they were so cloudy and yellow that you could not see any detail inside the lens.

As others have mentioned you need to remove enough material with the coarser grits. It can be smooth and still be cloudy.
