The turn signal switch is probably going bad, or somebody took it out before and didn't install it correctly. You won't have to worry about the steering wheel being installed incorrectly, it is marked to avoid installing it off-center.

I agree with mbtech208, don't worry about removing your steering wheel and checking out what's going on underneath. It is very simple if you have the right tools or go to a mechanic that can remove airbags. The process of taking it off and putting it back on takes no longer than 5-10 minutes. Have him check all of the switches while he's in there...

Well you were right, it was the turn signal switch, but ironic enough i got the car back and my steering wheel is off, now i have to bring it back for them to realign it? are all the steering columns marked to prevent improper reinstallation, if so why is mine off alignment then?>

2quick, the question about the steering wheel alignment is one I posted on another thread. I was told that the steering wheel only fits on a certain way but I am finding out more and more that is not true. Someone else in that same thread posted that you can adjust it by 10mm increments. Please post pics. if possible or supply more info. on this as you have your steering wheel realigned. It would be great to know for sure. Thanks...
