Oil Temperature Sensor: Where is it?
Besides its location, does anyone know the part number for this sensor? A google search for it has not been successful.
A warning for for 'oil temp too high' has been coming on intermittently even while coolant temperature is well within normal (85 C as displayed on the instrument).
During one occurrence, I sucked out the oil and took a reading with an infrared thermometer. It read about 155-160 F which leads me to think that the sensor is bad. Anyone know what the operating temperature is for Mobil 1 in a V-8?
