When I open the sunroof on our 2000 E320 wagon, with either the interior switch or keyless entry, it opens halfway and stops. Releasing the button and pushing it again will cause the sunroof to open the rest of the way. Is this normal?

i'm no MB expert, but i do have the same car and it does the same thing. only 1/2, then release on the open. closing does it all the way on same movement.

 

you need to reset your windows, and sunroof together.

 

How does one reset the sunroof and windows?

 

The E320 Sunroof Will NOT Open All The Way with the One Touch Because of Wind Baffle, The Sunroof only opens Half way.
You Must Press The Switch again and The Sunroof will open all The Way. Normal !
You Can Reprogram the Window By Turn The Key To The On Poss. Depress the Window switch Down Roll The Window Down.Hold The Switch DOWN for 5 sec.release. Then Raise The Window Hold The Switch up for 5 sec.Release Do this For all the Windows
On The Remote key you can Open the Windows and The Sunroof by Holding the Unlock Button Down and Pointing the Key to a Door handle..The Sunroof will open half way..then hold the button down again and the Sunroof will open all the way..
