E320 got rear ended today

E320 got rear ended today
Got rear ended by a guy in a Jeep Compass. I was at the stop sign and he crashed into my E320 and I got pushed into a corn field over near the haunted hayrides. Not too much damage on the back. Cracked bumper, the weather strips poped up and now there is a howling sound comming from my car at low speeds
His POS Jeep is cracked up pretty good and his front plate came off.
I dont know how. He hit me at about 25-30MPH. He gets out of the car and tells me "I am sorry. I was running late for work"
Me "WAS.. Now your 100% late for work. Looks like your not going now"
We ended up having the same inscurance company so it made it easy. This guy was like 65 years old and for the damn life of him could not figure out how he ran into me. It was and still is pooring rain out and he told me his breaks locked up and all of that and then he told me his tires are bald and he slid... I looked at the tires and there fine
Finally after a while of him and his 
He finally admits to his fault for not paying attention. I cant take pics. Its dark and raining. Car goes in the shop soon and I need to get all of the things taken care of.

This is what scares me about driving on the roads. The other day I was next to guy who appeared to be retrieving something from around the rear door of his Cherokee....
