Also did you have to roll your fenders how much did you lower your car and what size tires you have on those 19'.
Thanx
hubert.
I am glad that you enjoy the suspension and Brabus wheel, very nice set up with the Carlsson rims actually. You could probably lower it some more in the front because i remembered my car was lowered than yours using my old suspension but i had #1 pad all around though. How about the new mirrors? did u put it on already?? Any plans for new mods?? It's good to know another W210 enthusiast like you! I probably won't go to Powerfest this time because i have something else planned already, but whenever something's coming up, give a hollar or something, and we'll go.
STEVE!
Here is the man that's responsible for all the work!! He is the best, so r u in LA already?? i still need to go the the dealer to get the job done.!
Alexbenz,
Well, MBenzNL (Steve) did all the work for the Comand, you can email him directly at s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com. I brought a few parts on my own, and the total is around $3000.
hubert,
Since you have the 99, your car already has the fiber optic setup, so you don't need to change it as what's done in my car, but you'll have to contact MBenzNL (Steve) too for the details ofthe whole comand installation, because i don't really know what he did, i only knew that he tear my car apart and put it back together. :p
I can tell you about my suspension though, i have 19 x 8.5 Carlsson Design 2/6 all around with 245/35 tires with H&R cupkit and #4 pad in the front and #1 in the rear. Also, i have rear adjustable camber kit that i got from Delsing Motorsports and the dealer bolt-on kit in the front, so i don't have any camber problems I guess it's lowered about 2~2.5 inch. No rubbing and yet comfortable for my taste. I think it's a good setup for a 1998 E430 with H&R cupkit.
can you tell me the dimensions? i'm hoping to get some. also, what do you think of the ride? bumpy or ok? lastly, does your car sway around corners or is it gone due to lower profile tires? thx.
they look great.

bzliteyear,
THanks for the compliment, i also saw your Lorinser wagon's pic, which looks awesome. As far as wheel/tire goes, i personally don't think it's that big of a difference in ride and performance merely just change wheels without any suspension mods. I am running on 19X8.5 all around in my car with H&R cupkit, i would say it's not bumpy at all, but can't compared with the stock "floating" feeling though. The performance is improved when cornoring, especially when my car is lowered more than 2", the car doesn't really have much body roll anymore. But i would see my car rubbing in the back if i put 19 X 10's in the rear, but i think it'll look better. I would recommand you to get 19 x 8.5 in the front and 19 x 10 in the back. Just my opinion! Hope this helps!!
so r u in LA already??
greetingz,
Mac99,
That is a very nice car!! What else are you planning on doing to it, if anything?
thanks for your kind words, i do have a lot things that comes in mind about modding my car (MKB 60/8 Evo engine mod, Kleemann charger, Renntech EV12 bodykit and coilover suspension. etc) but just don't have that much money for it and it's probably not worth the money unless i take my car to the track every week :p The next step is probably trying to fit a quad-exhaust system in my car, and i think that'll take a lot R&D and $$. That's probably my top priority. Next step will be new rims again...

Did the wood insert for the shift gate come with the car or did you add that in later? Did Steve provide the new wood panelling around the Command unit or did you get it for yourself?
I'm trying to find an alternate source for these parts that isn't from the dealership (they wanted way too much money for the shift gate insert).
