99 e300 turn signal flasher- installed led turn bulbs

I recently installed bi xenon projectors in my depo lights and changed the front parking lights to LEDs and installed resistors in each light.

In addition I installed 4 led turn signal bulbs. The problem I am having is when i turn the lights on I am still getting the defective lamp warning signal.

Also I expected the turn signals to flash at a fast rate due to the led turn signal install.. I brought my led lights and a LED flasher relay from superbrightleds.com

The problem is I can't find the flasher relay in my vehicle. My mechanic said that the turn signal relay is built into the four way flasher.

Is there anyway I can slow the flash rate down?

Thumbs down

Messing with the flasher relay is no option because it's also a 'hub' for the hazard lights etc. My guess is you'll need to get the resistance load of the LED's exactly the same as an 21W bulb.

The formula is: R = U² / P (Resistance = Voltage² / Power) so we get:
12² / 21 = 6,85Ohms. What kind of resistor is at your turnLEDs right now then?

I dont have any resistors on the turn signals thinking that I could use the LED flasher relay. but not since i can't use it I guess I should go with 4 resistors? 21w resistors from superbrightleds.com?

i have resistors on the front parking lights (that are housed within the high beam housing in the middle)

but I still get the lamp failure message...maybe it's because of the turn signal LEd bulbs?
