1.) Hold each window switch in the first detent of the UP position (not express-up) for 2-3 seconds after the window is fully raised. This synchronizes the windows.

2.) Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times. This recalibrates the ESP steering angle sensor.

3.) If your sunroof has express-open or close, hold the button in the tilt-up position for 2-3 seconds after it is fully tilted.

4.) Don't forget to enter the radio code to reactivate the radio.

Dredging up an old thread here because I just replaced the original (read: dead) battery in my car. I have a couple of questions/ issues that I need answers/advice on from the resident experts here.

The window thing worked and they are resynchronized.

I got two malfunctions, the ABS and the electronic brake assist thingee, however after hitting R like the manual says, the malfunctions have been cleared. Does this mean I still need to have the dealer reset the computer in my car?

Lastly, I punched in the code from the radio key card that was with the car when I bought it but it didn't work! I tried it like 3 times and now I guess the whole thing is locked out. When I turn on the radio now, it flashes "CODE", then "WAITING". Is there anything I can do or do I really need to take the car to the dealer now?

Thanks in advance.

Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times. This recalibrates the ESP steering angle sensor. This will make the ESP and BAS malfunctions go away.

As for the radio code issue you may need to talk to your dealer if your code doesn't seem to want to unlock it.
