Is the Grille from a 2000 e320 and a 97 E420 the same?

2000 E320
No. slightly different. Benz changed the hood on the 2000-2002 E Class--just slightly but mostly up front where the hood meets the bumper which is basically the grill area.

Nope. The hood on the 96-99 models wraps all the way around the edges of the grill. The 00-02 the hood stops short about 3/4 of the way down on the sides of the grill and then it's just grill from there where it meets the top of the bumper. The hood, lights, bumper and fenders where all redesigned for the 00-02 models.

I bought a grille from a 2000 E320 and just found out it won't fit my 97 E420. So if anyone needs a grille for a 2000-2002 E320 or E430, please feel free to email me.

Hey Ed, is it a stock grill or a sport grill with the star in the middle? I have a friend who might be interested if it's the sport grill. If you don't get any interests from our fellow members here you should list on ebay and it should sell pretty fast...
