The question is.....should I pay to have it repainted???? I told the shop the color and they painted it wrong. They say it is the right color. I think their vendor messed up.

The bumper light will be painted. If I keep the color, I might paint the spoiler and the pillars. The carbon fiber clashes. Or just paint the spoiler and leave the pillars black....... I the shop tomorrow morning. I might just have them paint it the color I wanted. Fun drive again from San Jose all the way SF. Also I like it without the front plate. The I took the trunk badges off and am painting the star black, also took off the "sport" from the front fenders.

I paint for a living and I don't believe the color is wrong. The problem with paint shops is they look at one variable of the paint and that is wehat they shoot. When painting a whole car it doesn't matter if the color blends wiht the old to them. I personally like the way it looks as well. Almost the old FLIP/FLOP color scheme.

I got the right color. I asked for some touch-up paint and saw the color code. It really looks good. In the pics it almost looks greenish. Live in person it is grey with a metalic or pearl blue in it. Finished product, even the bird likes it

The first pictures look greenish but the one in the parking lot looks closer to your desired color. It's beautiful. I'm jealous.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I think it looks good, too. It looks a lot better than the BMW Bavaria I used to own. I was getting it painted. At the time, metallic paints were not as good as they are now so I wanted as close to the original color but not in metallic. The owner of the paint shop and I looked at a bunch of chips and finally decided on one that we both thought would be good. I guess there wasn't enough light when we were looking because when it was finished, I probably had the only powder blue BMW Bavaria in the world!
