2001 MB E430 4Matic
2008 E to 2001 E Tires & Rims
A newbie here! I own a 2001 E430 4-Matic. The previous owner installed 18” rims with low profile tires that look good, ride hard and wear out fast! I am looking to put more rubber on the road and make my car ride as a Benz should without spending a lot of money.
I have found a set of nice 16” rims and tires from a 2008 E350. The tires are 225/55.
I know bolt pattern is the same but does anyone know if these will these fit my car without modification?
Thanks for your help!

proceed carefully, and be aware that the newer rims will no doubt require a
larger bolt lug. they have 14mm bolt diameter as well as larger ball seat than
the 210's 12mm diam and ball seat specifications.
there are bolt lug manufacturers which make 12mm diameter bolts with 14mm
ball seats (RADUSADIRECT and OTISINCLA)

If they are wearing out fast was the car lowered? Sounds like it might have been and then not used the adjustable rear camber arms. Newer wheels require larger ball seat. Must get custom lugs as stated above. ET 35 is ideal for stock W210
