Owner's Manual
On a related note, any recommendations on a service manual? I found some CDs on Amazon and some other books ... are they all more or less the same?
Thanks a million ...

Owner's Manuals are specific to the year/model/submodel and market (country) of destination. While a lot of information would apply to all W210's there are just enough differences to cause confusion.
The best way to get an Owner's Manual for your particular model/year is thru the dealer. People sell the used OM online for more than the dealer charges for a new one!
Besides the OM I suggest you get the 'Service Booklet' which describes the service cycles recommended by MB for your car. Whether you follow them strictly on a older car is up to you.As for a service manual you'll find sites like this and other MB enthusiast sites have lots of DIY maintenance and repair info. Some even have video and most have images. If you have a little experience you should have no problem doing your own routine maintenance. The things online (CD's etc) are a crap shoot. Most people report being disappointed. MB no longer produces the W210 Service Manual DVD (US only?). Here in US we can subscribe to the MB parts database and get short term access to the MB WIS (Workshop Information System) maintenance procedures. You will need to check out what's available at your location.
