Good service/repair shop in San Diego?

I was hoping to get some advice from anyone on the board who might be local to the San Diego area...

I just picked up a '99 E430 and I want to take the car in for a general service... Level A or B I am have not yet decided...

I am looking for a reliable and reasonably priced shop in the area and also need a good source for parts as well.

I did not inherit a service history with the car so I want to establish one of my own.

Any help is much appreciated...

Sport 430

I am in San Diego. I have not find a good repairs shop. Therefore, the service on my 2000 E430 sport are done by me. :-)
I enjoy working on the car anyway. Also, I know what I put in my Benz. If you need help on somethings ,,
email me. I will try to help.

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks... I will get in touch with you soon. I have a pretty busy schedule over the next few weeks, but maybe after the long weekend we can get in touch.

Thanks for your offer to help out.

I have a really good mechanic downtown. Inside Bert's Motor Werx there is an old German guy named Allain Gillot that shares the garage with Bert. All he works on is Mercedes and is awesome. He may even be straight from the Benz factory. He usually does the A and B services for about 1/3 of the price that the dealerships would do them.

Another Mercedes Benz repair place (all they do is Mercedes) is Exclusive Motors on Miramar Rd. 858-552-1000. I bought my E320 from them recently (they sell a few cars on the side as well).

How do you make an appt with Allain Gillot? Do you make appts through Berts? I've been looking for a mechanic in the downtown area for awhile. Think he would be good fixing an electrical problem?

In El Cajon

I used a shop called Autohaus Stebel for many years and was always pleased with their work and prices. The owner is from Germany and worked for Porsche for many years.

Always first rate in my dealings with them! I would still be using his shop but I no longer live in SD.

Tim

He's on the corner of Washington and Mollison.
