Question Alarm Sound

So my friend, he has a w220 Mercedes, its an S class, forgot the year, and his alarm sounds way louder than mine, on my 2001 E320. Any ideas on why? Is it normal? Can something actually might be blocking? Where is the alarm itself? I tried looking for it, could find it. Is it supposed to be facing a certain way, so it can be louder?

MB does not use simple sirens. They design something for every model, it
seems, which (in my opinion) are overpriced and unreliable. Solid state
board is built inside to control warble, timeout, etc. heck, even used ones
on ebay command $1-200 and you must be part# specific for your car other-
wise the pinouts may not match...or may not function on your car.

your 01 is probably behind the right front wheel liner....but it is possible it's
behind the left front liner.

look it up for free on MBUSA's EPC parts engine....or the Russian parts site

MBUSA EPC

Free for USA residents but requires Windows Operating Systems

if you're having difficulty navigating the Russian site, the EPC service isn't
going to be much easier.

credit card serves to verify that subscriber 'lives' in the USA (or No America).
your card is not dinged.
