Cool replaceing blinker switch..Help

on a 2001 e430 i removed the steering wheel and in the center is a wired coil that needs to be removed to get to the blinker switch. the problem is i cant see any way to remove the coil. dont want to do any damage. anybody can help with way to remove the center coil...thanks...or maybe link to some pics

It sounds like the OP can't see anyway to remove the 'clock spring' aka steering angle sensor. The screws are obvious on the older models so I'm assuming something has changed with the face-lift versions.
