Rear End Locked?

I just had my brakes replaced all the way around on my 1998 E320 4matic Wagon. I went to pick up the car and the guy at the shop tells me that the rear end is locked up and that the axle is not turning. Is this possible?

I was thinking that possibly the lug nuts are too long for the replacement discs. The car drove just fine this morning, I can't figure out what it could be.

Any help?

Thanks,
Paul

What shop?

It sounds like this may be your headache, but ultimately their problem, even if it resorts to this:

Are they stock lug nuts? Either way, i've never seen a replacement disc that different from stock to create a problem on the lug nuts poking too far through. the only thing that makes sense to me would be that the parking brake shoes are set- they may need to be adjusted back.
