Can you install any bulb, not LED? If your brake light bulb went, could you replace a normal bulb?

We only carry LED and HID. If you're just looking for plain halogen bulbs, your local auto parts store should carry them.

Sorry...been trolling here but since the wife's E55 just had front-end damage I have to redo most of this.....this thread is helpful & timely.

Your City light replacements are great.
For the HID low beams is this your recomendation?.......I thought Crystals and Diamonds were only 4300K.
Weren't many going to the Ultinons or other 5-6000K bulbs?........or did I mis it, and your 5000K LEDs are a good color match for OE 4300K?

Thanks in advance.

Diamond vision lights are close to 5000K, Crystal vision lights are closer to 4000K. Remember, these are halogen bulbs, NOT HID bulbs.

Got it....for low beam, the Phillips Diamond & Crystals are both halogen (though on-line, Amazon, they are often represented as HID).....but E55 AMG have OE HIDs. I'll assume you are not recomending halogens over HIDs.

And back on the D2R HIDs (low beam).....what are you inclined to like (to go with your 5000K city lights)?.......OE HIDs?.....Phillips 85126+ ?, what?

And another stupid question....are high beam H7s on E55s HID?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, they're advertised as HID, but they're HID-like. If you have OEM xenons already equipped, you'll just need to get true HID D2R bulbs in which case they can achieve true white to match my 5000K city lights, however, you have to understand the nature of HIDs. With LEDs, you can hit a precise kelvin rating, but with HIDs, it's a kelvin range, so you always have a chance of it being slightly off. The more expensive bulbs have a tighter range so that the delta is indistinguishable to the human eye. The cheaper bulbs have a broader range and you can see them kind of fluctuate depending on load. To complicate matters even more, manufacturers don't follow a set standard in labeling their bulbs. So if you buy Brand A, Brand B, and Brand C HID bulbs, all stated at 5000K, Brand A might be really 4700K-5000K, Brand B might be really 4900K-5100K, and Brand C might be really 5000K-5300K,

Excellent info Michael....thanks for sharing.
I've seen that price range in HIDs and wondered...example PIAA's.

My order is in for your LEDs.
A few years back I made the LED conversion on two Pcars but at that time I had to wire resistors and all.
It's neat to see how the LED technology is evolving.

Thanks AZN I installed the 5000k in the city lights. Great product, no error codes!
All stock here:

In this picture, the AZN led is installed on the passenger's side, while the stock halogen is still installed on the driver's side.

Here they are with the stock Xenon bulbs & both AZN 5000ks;
H6W / 64132 LED City Light - W210-img_2119.jpg
But I installed 6000k low beams and this is how they look with AZN 5000k city lights.

Overall, I am pleased to upgrade these city lights, especially with no error codes. Great product & fast shipping! I am now wondering if the 8000k will match these headlights better?

H7 for your low beams? You'll want to use HID solution to reduce the light scatter and have usable throw distance.

You don't want LEDs for any forward projecting lights which include low beam, high beam, fogs. The projector and even halogen reflectors are just not designed to properly project that type of lighting and you'd have no throw distance with tons of light scatter.

The best solution is to go with an HID Kit. If you're worried about heat, stick with 35W kit and not 55W. We are direct distributors of Morimoto HID kits which are in 35W and offered in 5000K and 6000K with H7 fitting. These retail for $150/kit which includes bulbs, ballasts, and canbus harness. Let me know if interested.
