sunroof control switch
Mine's acting up..... Doesn't work right , makes the window either not respond at all, or goes in opposite direction. Sometimes it works OK, not consistent. Window doesn't jam or seem out of line. Anyone have suggestions or replaced the switch? Thanks.

There is a way to reset the sunroof switch... it's something like holding the switch one way for a few seconds & then the other for a few seconds. I haven't had to do it yet, so I'm not sure what the exact procedure is. If you do a search for resetting the sunroof it should come up.

It doesn't sound like his symptoms are 'lost sync'. If so the directions to resync are in the OM.
Just to refresh, to resync either express feature of windows or to resync the sunroof open them all the way and then close them and hold the switch for 4 seconds before releasing. If you are new to the model, note that the sunroof only opens half way on the first push. That is by design.
Frequent loss of 'sync' is often a symptom of a failing battery.
The switch is A210 820 34 10 and is about a $50 part at the dealer.

Yes, I'll try the re synch again. Didn;t help before, tho. I'll check the battery although it seems to turn over just fine. Re switch replacement, I wonder if there's a DIY on benzworld? Any idea?
I posted another thread about windshield washer nozzle adjusting. What's the right way to do that? Can you help?
Thanks, Mike

As far as the switch goes, start by removing the two plastic lenses from the overhead light. They just pop off but pry gently since older plastic tends to be brittle.
I think once they're off you can see access to the switch. I haven't seen a DIY but probably worth checking.
First I'd check to see if the holes in the spray heads are obstructed with dirt or salts from tap water. Sometimes a small sewing needle can be used to clean them. Don't use something so big that it enlarges the hole or you may lose pressure and get a weak spray pattern. I don't know if they can be adjusted as far as aiming them.

Welcome. Probably best if you start a new thread.
These cars have various electronics which can cause an error. The system will reset itself but if the problem is still present the error message will return.
