HVAC Sampler Blower Motor Replacement
The HVAC Sampler Blower Motor in my car recently went from bad to worse and sounded like one of those old seat-belt warning buzzers. Called the local dealer for a price on the part - $106.50 plus tax, and it wasn't even in stock. Went online to AutohausAZ and bought the part for $78, no tax plus free shipping. It didn't come with any instructions, but upon examining the new one, I could tell how it was held in by two plastic tabs that were virtually inaccessible. First step is to remove the overhead panel containing the dome/map lights and sunroof switch. It pulls down by the rear edge without tools (although it's a little tight). The HVAC Sampler Blower Motor is located near the front edge. Remove the wire connection and just give the blower a twist until one of the plastic tabs break off and you can then remove it. The new motor will easily snap into place. Reconnect the wires and your good to go. If you don't waste too much time trying to get the motor out without breaking off the tabs, the whole job shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Photos attached.
