Odd starter problem with '98 E430
Hi,
I'm new to this site and have recently bought a '98 E430 that I'm seeing a strange starting issue with.
I had the bad CPS symptoms so I changed the CPS.
However I still get the same problem (key turns, dash lights up, whirring noise but the engine won't start). The weird thing is, the engine starts consistently on every 4th attempt!
I was going to start re-seating relays and was going to perform an ECU reset - just posting here to see if you chaps have any ideas?
