01 4matic wagon front brake upgrade
Hi all, looking to get some more stopping power into my 01 4matic wagon. I've searched the forum and it seems that I can replace calipers with E55 calipers and use E55 rotors or SLK32 rotors. I know the E55 rotors are two-piece design and are $$$$$ new as opposed to the single SLK32 type. Anyone see any problems using the SLK single-piece instead since they are basically half the price of the E55's? Thanks.

the 2 piece design was to help with cooling so as long as you are not trying to track your car I would think it should be ok. C43 brakes will work as well according to what I have read.

yeah no tracking the wagon 
family hauler needs alittle more stopping power with the +2 rim size (16 to 18). thanks!
So just to verify, these calipers (from E55) and rotors (slk32) are bolt-ons with no further modifications correct?

I had the C32 four piston brake calipers/rotors on my W210 wagon before I went to the AMG E55 brake set up.
If you use the C32 four piston brake calipers you will need to measure the clearance from the caliper to rim ...a spacer might be required depending on rim selection
