E320 3.2 Petrol 1996 Adaptive Damping Fault

<table border="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td valign="middle">

</td></tr></tbody></table>Does any one have knowledge of this system. I have had Adaptive Damping message suddenly appear on the dash. The rear suspension is hard so I have renewed the accumulator spheres , also renewed one of the thinner metal pipes. Renewed the fluid as well. The message disappeared, took it on a test drive still no message appearing , rear suspension still feels slightly hard. Turned engine off, next day turned engine on message adaptive damping appeared. Have tried turning steering wheel on each lock as in owners manual no joy. This problem suddenly happened. Also the light went out after changing spheres and fluid , stayed out for the rest of the day and then came back on next day and is still on. The self levelling valve on the roll bar, if they stick up and will not release the pressure can it cause the active damping warning light to appear on the dash.I know it will cause hard suspension on the back and the adaptive light will not come on if we relieve the pressure on the rear, only when the pressure builds up again. Any ideas Thanks Rich
