Anyone Install these mirror covers?

Hottness Mirror covers for pre-model update E's....

I went to a Benz dealer a few nights ago and parked mine next to a 2000+ Desert Silver with those mirrors, and the they look smaller. Benz definately messed up the paint color big time. The smoke silver looks soo much smoother and nicer... I thinkz

Would I have to mess around with the mirror besides running the wiring and installing the new cover and obviously painting it?

Thanks in Advance guys.

If you would like to use the after-market mirror covers in the link you provided, you will only have to paint them, run the blinker wires through your doors and then snap them into place. As for the OEM mirrors on the 2000+ W210, you will need to replace the entire mirror as they are shaped differently as you noticed. You can keep trying ebay for a set or contact Steve (MBenzNL) for a set as I have seen that he has good prices and he already re-wires them for you to fit your existing plugs. Here is a pic. of the 2000+ OEM mirrors that I installed on mine...

Seen them a lot

I have seen them mostly on W202 C-Class cars. They are a quicker alternative to swapping the whole set of mirrors with 2000+ W210 OEM ones. I think that they look bigger than the OEM covers because the old originals are more square.

You are correct. The 96-99 W210 mirrors are slightly larger and more square as the 2000+ mirrors are more aerodynamic. I personally like the OEM mirrors a lot better than the after-market ones, including the way the shorter signal lights look. Just MO.
