While parking my car yesterday I shifted into park and it didn't shift. I turned the car off and started it and no change, It wont change gears. It stays in neutral. Now I cant get the key out or start it? The selector moves but the gears don't change! What the . . . .

 

If you qualify for MB roadside assist (remember that the rules changed recently) call them for help. More than likely they will offer to tow you to the nearest dealer to have the transmission codes read. I hope it's something simple, so good luck.
