Cigar Lighter died? Few other issues as well

So, my car is a 97 e320, purchased about a month ago. Everything seems to be working fine, except.. recently I purchased a Power Inverter for laptop charging. I plugged it in, used it for about two miles, then boom.. Cigar lighter goes out, never to return.

Is there a fix for this? Also, that port wentout about a week ago, this morning my SRS light turned on and stays on(also a prompt about washer water level comes on intermittedly). Any correlation, or totally unrelated?

Thanks guys!

(asking the obvious, natch) did you check the fuse to the cigarette lighter?

for basic questions, use the SEARCH feature as it will most likely reveal answers
to questions other owners have asked previously

a CONTINUITY TEST is the best method of verifying a good vs blown. use battery
and bulb, or D/VOM (meter). if this doesn't make sense, better find a buddy who
is familiar with electrical basics

The are 3 fuse panels on the W210. The first is under the hood at left rear of engine bay. Second is at the far left end of the dashboard. The door must be open to remove panel. This is mostly for external lights. The third is under a panel under the right rear seat cushion. Tilt the seat cushion forward, remove felt covered panel. Battery is there as well.

Each area should have a fuse chart. The fuse charts for the #1 and #3 are the same just that fuses in that panel are printed in bold.

The cigar lighter is fuse No. 1 or No. 6 in the panel under the hood. It's a good idea to get a cheap multimeter or conductivity checker to test fuses. Eyeballing works most of the time but meter is better.

You probably overloaded the circuit with the invertor. I connect my invertor to the charging posts under the hood to avoid this problem. Of course, this doesn't allow you to drive and surf.

(another obvious question) Did you check the windshield washer fluid level?

FYI, false error messages often point to a low or failing battery.
