2002 E320 Door Lock Issues?

Hi everyone, maybe the experts can steer me in the right direction. Hopefully I can do it myself with the aid of my friends All-Data account.

OK here goes:

My E320 developed an issue where the drivers rear door would not lock from the remote or inside the vehicle. You have to manually push the lock button down within the door. So that door will open with the remote but not close. I did notice that when the rear doors try to lock after pressing the remote both rear door lock pull up/push down knobs creep down slowly then stop.

Ironically my passenger side rear door has developed the same problem as the left rear door it won't lock but will open via the remote or door lock switch.

The passenger front door is making a hissing sound coming from the door latch area when you close the door via the remote. I'm not sure if this is what's starting to cause my other door locks to not work.

I'm kind of leaning on a vacuum problem because all the doors do unlock. Any ideas on where to start? Is there a vacuum box in the car I can read vacuum levels for the suspect door locks?

Thanks to everyone for reading and advice.

The car uses a vacuum pump to retract the door locks. The pump is located under a panel under the right rear seat cushion. The main battery is in the same location. The pump is covered with a foam pad. It sounds as though there is a leak somewhere in the system. There are DIYs for removing the door coverings on sites like benzworld.
