1996 E-320 rear brake line size?

After chasing a brake fluid leak, I finally found the source...the rear hard line feeding the RR wheel. It looks simple as I have changed and fabricated many brake lines in the past on domestic cars but before I start the job I need to know if these hard lines are a metric size with metric fittings or just use metric fittings.
I keep 3/16 line on hand with various SAE fittings and sometimes reuse the old fittings if they are in good shape when I cut and flare new line.
Since I plan on going to the shop tomorrow, I'd like to know if I need to pick up anything BEFORE I pull it over the pit.
Thanks in advance.
Mark

The car is made in Germany which always uses the metric system. It's the brakes -- do it right.

.....so I'm assuming that not only are the fittings metric, but the line is also? That's good to know. That being the case, is it safe to assume that a standard double flaring tool can be used, or is there a specific set for metric and if so are they a 45* or 37* flare?
I want to do it right as I take no short cuts with brakes (or my wife's safety) and that is why all the questions.
Once again, thanks.

Mark - Yes, there are metric flaring tools designed to flare metric sized tubing. The sets ( ~$70) probably cost more than the part but if you feel you will be keeping the car might be worth it.

Thanks Richard, that is some of the info I'm looking for. I do intend to keep the car for a while as My wife loves it and has no desire to replace it even though we've been to the dealer several times. It will definitely be replaced with another Benz when the time comes, and besides, I need another hat....you know, those expensive ones that come with a free MB....the most expensive hat I've ever bought! LOL

Generally, W210's are fairly easy to work on and there's a lot of money to be save vs. going to the dealer. Just post if you have any questions.
