Changed the coolant then I have a problem

Hello to all ..
THis weekend I changed the coolant , I didnt do a complete flush only drain, got 2 1/4 Gallons from the radiator , then I wanted to do a quick flush, put in 50/50 Zerex G05 and distilled water , ran the engine 20 minutes +/- , no leaks , BUT ran the heater full blast as recommended ...air is not hot ...grant I cant remember when I used the heater ( I am in Miami FL ) so now I dont know if I did something wrong coolant change wise or my heater is not working properly. Level of coolant is holding very good, car is running good , temp on dash cluster is right above 80 and holding...I didnt drive the car just ran the engine , since I have it up on J stands for a brake job but that driving it or running the engine shouldnt be any different , correct ?
Any comments or advise are greatly appreciated. Thanks

The CCU uses an inside temperture sensor so it may not call for heat until it 'thinks' it needs to regardless of the temp. setting. Remember almost everything is controlled by the car's computer. I think you'll have to wait for a cold night in Georgia to test properly.

I can see your point , but what about the defogger , I turned that on and also got regular air , not cold but certainly not hot !

Since blowing cold air would make condensation worse you only get ambient air. Unless the computer opens the duo-valve no hot water goes to the heater box and whether you direct the air up, down or sideways doesn't change anything. It's a CAN bus car not your grandfather's Buick.

Dear Richard , I cant thank you enough .
I am not sure if it was your comments , or another member's ( Ohlord ) or maybe both. He suggested that I leave the cap off the resevoir overnight , to hopefully get some air bubbles out ...you alerted me to the ambient temp which I didnt know .
I left the cap off overnight , and decided to check and start the car 6:00 AM before the sun comes up and temp is as low as one can hope in S. FL. Sure enough the level was a bit low .. I topped it off , screwed the cap tight , started the car .. heat full blast .. sure enough ...HOT AIR !!!! let it run for 20 min or so ...temp reached 80 pretty much stayed there ..hopefully she is happy. Will drive it for a bit once i get the brakes done...let the coolant circulate hopefully dislodging any particles ...flush it next from all three valves ( block ones also) refill
Thank you again for taking the time to comment and advise . Cheers .
