Transmission problem? If so, Please Help!!
Well heres the story.
Coming home from work i hear a whining sound coming from under the front engine area. The car also seems to make the noise more as i accelerated. As i got into the higher speeds it seemed to go away., But stopping at lights the noise appeared again. then it seemed to not respond to me stepping on the gas when pulling off. I finally made it to my regular mechanic (MB Tech) and after putting it on the lift and stepping on the gas to hear the whining noise....Yep, you guessed it, "You need a new transmission".
Is there anything I can do to check to see if it is necessary to do this tranny job?
I know its expensive.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED...
