just removed my trans on my 99 e320 with 160k miles. the pump went on it. when the car would heat to operating temperature. the trans would slip and then go into limp mode permanentaly. so I got a used trans cheap and decided to install. i have a question, cannot get any of the trans to shift to neutral. does the trans need pump pressure to shift to neutral. would love to put them in nuetral for easier installation. I have heard also that as far as fluid mobile 1, catrol european model, and even valvoline max life work on these trans.
