Bumper repair
I've got a 2001 E430 sport and the last snow storm I cracked the front bumper under both fog lights trying to get into my driveway. I've already filed a claim with insurance but am having a hard time trying to find the proper bumper at a reasonable price. A couple friends have suggested buying a plastic welder and doing the repair myself and pay for someone to repaint the bumper. Any thoughts or ideas world be greatly appreciated.

You can try that, but I would recommend using special flexible epoxy glue, with a mesh tape as a reinforcement. I think it would be an easier and more durable repair if you're not familiar with plastic repair techniques.

I stepped up and bought a plastic welding kit. Comes with different welding rods and epoxys. Will do a repair tread after winter is all done here in Colorado
